Obtaining Software and Documentation

Updates and Documentation for the Cisco Unified Application Environment can be downloaded from Cisco CCO.

Installing the CUAE

Cisco supports installing the CUAE on Windows XP Professional (SP2) and Windows 2003 Server (SP1) in "Developer Kit" mode or on Cisco MCS hardware running MCS OS 2003.1.2 in "Production" mode.

Prerequisites "Production"

Please refer to the CUAE Install Guide for instructions on how to install the CUAE in Production Environments. The CUAE Install Guide is available from Cisco CCO.

Prerequisites "Developer Kit"

Several 3rd party packages are required before the CUAE can be installed. Please refer to the directions in prerequisites for detailed instructions on what to install and configure.

CUAE Installers

Once the prerequisites have been taken care of, the CUAE itself can be installed. Download the following installers from Cisco CCO, and follow the instructions here.
  • CUAE-platsvc-<version>-BETA.exe - The CUAE common services
  • CUAS-<version>.exe - The CUAE Application Server
  • CUME-<version>.exe - The CUAE Media Engine
  • CUAD-<version>.exe - The CUAE Application Designer
